The birth of a child is one of the most magical moments in a family's life.
As a photographer, it is always an honor to capture this in a loving and artistic way.
The same goes for the beautiful Timon—a special baby who not only made my studio shine.
But it also earned international recognition at the Legacy Photography Awards.
Timon was one of the first babies I welcomed to my brand-new studio in Heusden-Zolder.
Furthermore, this space was designed with great care to perfect every aspect of a newborn photo session down to the last detail.
Not only can you see in the behind-the-scenes video how Timon is lovingly posed, but also how comfortable he feels—he even treated us to several smiles!
As always, his well-being is paramount:
I work exclusively at the baby's pace. With gentle touches, a warm environment, and above all: always a "spotter" next to the baby.
To clarify: This task is usually taken on by mom or dad, because they understand their child best.
This means that after each safe positioning, a parent remains within arm's reach of their baby at all times. Especially if the baby is not swaddled... All while I capture the images from a distance.
So newborn photography with safety as a priority is not just a slogan, but a promise.
My new studio is divided into two separate areas:
First of all, you have a quiet, warm space that is entirely dedicated to photographing the baby in various settings.
And secondly, you have a space where we can take baby photos, but also family portraits, pregnancy photos, or even boudoir maternity sessions in an elegant atmosphere.
Thanks to this structure, the session remains organized, relaxed, and above all: tailored to your child's comfort.
For every newborn session, I provide an exclusive collection of handmade outfits, specially designed for newborns.
In addition, all clothing is made from high-quality wool and carefully selected based on softness, safety, and style.
Parents can select their favorite outfits in advance using a handy online catalog. This ensures that everything is prepared down to the last detail upon arrival at the studio.
In short: The photo session with Timon was not only an artistic success, but also the crowning glory of my work:

All in all, these recognitions at the international Legacy Photography Awards are a wonderful confirmation of the passion and care I put into every session.
