My story began long before I picked up a camera.
At the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, where I graduated as a goldsmith/jewelry designer, I learned to see—to really see.

I learned to look at form.
And at light.
But also at emotion.
In addition, I learned to pay attention to the essence of what should be cherished.

That same way of looking at things is at the heart of my photography today.
It helps me understand what is meaningful to someone.

Years ago, I started photographing my own dogs.
What began as a simple experiment then grew into a life mission:
helping people see what is most valuable to them.

Over the years, I have specialized in newborn, maternity, kids & family, and boudoir photography.
In addition, I have taken numerous courses and continued to invest in my profession, my style, and my growth.

This led to special recognitions, including:
• International Photographer of the Year 2022 & 2023 — Newborn
• International Photographer of the Year 2024 — Senior Portrait
• Various first places at the Legacy Photography Awards

In addition, I had the opportunity to train photographers from all over Europe in baby safety, fine art techniques, and working with meaning.
Yet something became increasingly clear:

I wanted to devote all my energy to the people in front of my camera.
To their story.
And to their essence.

That's why my focus today is entirely on my clients.
Together, we discover what is truly important to them, so that I can make this tangible in images that continue to touch people.

No standard photos.
No superficiality.
But portraits that make you feel again why this moment had to be captured.

In my high-end studio in Heusden-Zolder, every experience begins with one question:
What is the essence that should never be lost for you?

ESSENCE OF YOU is not about striking the perfect pose.
It's about meaning.
It's also about connection.
And above all, it's about the story you want to be able to relive later on.
